Voting in a challenge

Once submissions close, the FOOH team curates the entries and picks the shortlist — during that window the challenge page says so ("voting opens soon"), and nothing is public yet. When voting opens, every shortlisted entry goes live in the voting gallery at the same moment, and the challenge page switches to voting mode: a large countdown shows how long voting stays open, and the shortlist follows right below. Anyone with a FOOH account can vote — you don't need a full creator profile, just a login.

How voting works

• One vote per person, and you can change it any time before voting closes. Picking a new entry simply moves your vote.
• You can't vote for your own entry.
• Standings are hidden while voting is open. We run blind voting so the gallery doesn't snowball behind an early leader — the results are revealed only when winners are announced.
• The gallery is shuffled on every load — entries appear in a fresh random order each time, so nobody gets a permanent top-row advantage.
• Every entry credits its creator — the name under a video links to that creator's FOOH page.

While browsing the gallery you'll also find a signup box — one click if you're signed in (we use your account's email), or your address plus a terms tick if you're not. Either way we'll email you whenever a new challenge drops. That's a standing subscription: it covers every future challenge, not just the next one, and every email carries a one-click unsubscribe link if you change your mind.

After voting closes

The shortlist gallery stays browsable, with the vote buttons giving way to a "winners announced soon" notice. Vote tallies are advisory input. Our team reviews them for anything that looks gamed, then sets the final 1st–5th placement.

When results are published, the challenge page becomes the winners' stage: the winning film front and centre with its creator and prize, ranks 2–5 on the podium below with their placement and prize in the caption, and — now that the challenge is over — the full brief, open for everyone to read. The shortlist retires at that moment; only the top five stay on the page, and it remains at the challenge's own address permanently, even after the next challenge starts. Vote counts are never shown — not during voting, not after. The results page also carries the same challenge-alerts signup as the gallery, so you can catch the next brief the day it drops.
